Emil Bobok - club coach

Eyup!

My first exposure to triathlon was in 1995 when I have seen a Triathlon Cup race in my village in Slovakia. It looked like so much fun. I have decided to learn how to swim more then 20 meters. It took me about a week of daily persistency to swim across the local lake. A very bad triathlete was born.

I was training (on and off) on my own until year 2000 when I have joined, then Asics TFN, and trained with the club for another couple year until I have been bullied into my first race. Since then I have done a few races, mostly sprints.

Then came injuries and natural progression in the sport, I love, seemed to be coaching. I enjoy sharing my experience and knowledge with others and also I want to pay-back, a little bit, to the club that gave me loads of support, help, fun and friends.

I have started coaching in year 2006. At the moment, I’m trying to supplement my experiences with a formal qualification. I have recently completed BTF Level 2 qualification.

Anyway, that's enough rubbish about me.

Happy training
